(610 cm) A highly ornamental, cultivated variety of the hyacinth bean. With deep green and purple foliage, it bears long racemes of very pretty, fragrant, bicolor pink and white sweet pea-like flowers followed by large and decorative, dark purple to brown seed pods. Ruby Moon Height: 120 to 240 in. (305 to 610 cm) Spread: 36 to 60 in. (91 to 152 cm) Showy, heat-tolerant and fast-growing climber has purple foliage, flowers and pods; blooms July to October. Good pot plant and interesting cut flower. Pods are edible and can be used in Asian, Thai and Indian dishes.
