NEW Alamo Tapered root shape with broad, smooth leaves and excellent taste. Early maturity. Moderate bolt resistance. Yields as high as 50% greater than standard varieties due to vigorous regrowth. Unique hybrid compares favorably to standard turnip greens, but with much more vigor. Royal Crown F 1 This multi-use variety has uniform deep green cut leaves and top-shaped roots with a bright purple crown and a creamy white bottom; features a sweet, mild flavor. Silky Sweet A satiny skin, crisp texture and surprising sweetness make this a delightful snack. It’s healthful, too, with magnesium, potassium, vitamin C and folate. Cal Sweet Bush Plant produces compact, bushy vines that grow 14 to 18-in. (36 to 46-cm) long and still provide enough foliage cover to protect the fruits. Each plant yields 2 to 3 fruits weighing 10 to 12 lb. (4.5 to 5.5-kg). All-America Selections Regional Winner. Crimson Sweet Dark/bright green-striped, oval fruit are 10 to 12 in. (25 to 30 cm) long. Sweet, crispy, juicy fruit is deep red with few seeds. Very productive; each plant produces 3 to 5 large fruits. Jade Star F 1 Sugar Baby-type watermelon with red, seeded flesh and sweet flavor. Features dark green skin and a round/oval shape. A good choice for short season areas. Intermediate resistance to Fusarium wilt 1 . Mambo F 1 Has the appearance of a seedless watermelon but the better taste of a seeded type due to its extremely small seed cavity. Grows and yields well, even in cool, cloudy conditions.
